MAKING A DONATION

Each and every contribution to any of the funds in the Roseau Area Community Fund family is important and provides us with critical assets.

Donations to all restricted funds underneath the umbrella of the Community Fund are tax deductible. The earnings from endowed gifts will be dispersed each year for the betterment of our area, as recommended by a local advisory committee. The principle will not be depleted, so funds will be available year after year. The earnings will be used to support community and charitable projects within our area such as arts and education, leisure and recreation, and youth and senior enrichment.

The Northwest Minnesota Foundation, of which the Roseau Area Community Fund is a component, is currently making a 10% matching gift to the community fund for every endowment dollar donated through June 30, 2008, up to a $50,000 maximum.

There are several ways to contribute to the funds. Contributions may be designated to any of the funds to be used at the board’s discretion or may be given to a specific established program.

  • A Residuary Request gives all or a portion of what remains of your estate, after debts, taxes, expenses and any other bequests have been paid.
